4-10 Training Systems

4-10 Training Systems was established in 2006 to bring the benefits of training in Traditional Chinese Martial Arts and Health Exercises to people who would not generally have access but would benefit from the trainings. It began in addiction treatment and mental health. The trainings emphasized the improvements in health, empowerment, perspective and self concept, while maintaining their traditional character and technique. Since then the impact and potential has expanded into programming for people in treatment for addiction and mental health issues, fall prevention in mental health, wellness programs for addiction and mental health professionals, gang prevention, at-risk youth, coaches, recovery coaching and corporate trainings to improve performance. Current projects include development of a certification for addiction professionals to use chi gung as an adjunctive therapy in addiction treatment, expansion of wellness programming and the creation of a fall prevention training for mental health professionals.
